<p>One politician, one thief and an INTEL Manager died. They went straight to hell. Don’t ask me why hell, but not heaven.</p>
<p>The politician said “I miss my country. I want to call my country and see how everybody is doing there.” She called and talked for about 5 minutes, then she asked “Well, devil how much do I need to pay for the call?”.</p>
<p>The devil said “Five million dollars”. </p>
<p>The politician wrote him a check immediately and went to sit back on her chair. </p>
<p>The thief saw all these and was so jealous, he started screaming, “My turn! I want to call my group members, I want to see how everybody is doing there too!”</p>
<p>He called and talked for about 2 minutes, then he asked “Well, devil, how much do I need to pay for the call? Make sure it’s cheap enough.”</p>
<p>The devil said “Ten million dollars”.</p>
<p>He smashed his forehead. But he still made a check and went to sit back on his chair. </p>
<p>The INTEL Manager was even more jealous and started screaming, “I want to call my office friends and managers too.”</p>
<p>He called other INTEL employees and he talked for twenty hours about cost cutting measures, stock gains, market segments, improvising, automation,… he talked and talked and talked. Finally, when he’s done he asked “Well, devil how much do I need to pay for the call?”</p>

<p>The Internet has provided us with ways on how to market cost effectively. It has given virtual tools which can deliver hard results which can be comparable to the results that one can achieve using the more popular forms of marketing.</p>
<p>The electronic mail or &#8220;email&#8221; is one of the most effective and widely used tools in Internet marketing. Other people employ affiliate programs, links, free items and other gimmicks to market through the Internet, but most of these marketers have utilized email marketing in one instance or another.</p>
<p>Email provides a marketer with a whole new spectrum in using the Internet as a marketing medium. Millions of people now rely on email to receive information quickly. However, although email is a good way to market a certain product or a service, one should be cautious in using it to market. Ethics also apply to the use of Internet media to be able to convey a marketing message to a targeted audiance.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s say that one has a great product that he wants to sell through the Internet. He had laid down the foundations such as the development of a website to be the portal on which he would receive orders and display much needed information about the product. The website contained attractive and sleek graphics and useful information. The only problem was, no one was visiting the website. Aside from employing other techniques for Internet viral marketing, he also tries email marketing in the hopes of getting hits and transforming these hits into sales.</p>
<p>There are a lot of groups out there which cater to a specific market. Millions of mailing lists and e-groups have been established and these can be used by the marketer to be able to instantly put his target market into the bag.</p>
<p>One must be patient enough not to plunge into email marketing errors which can destroy his reputation and eventually his product&#8217;s image in the eyes of his target audience. </p>
<p>He can join these so-called e-groups but must try his best to get a general feeling about the dealings that happen in these groups. This is a kind of market infiltration. He can make himself known first by posting some short comments about the topics which are discussed in the group and try to build a rapport with the other members. He can eventually tell, through time, when it is appropriate to post his advertisement through the mailing list.-Write attractively</p>
<p>Using email marketing methods allow one to be able to convey sufficient amount of information about his product so as to entice the receivers to avail of the product. In writing advertisements through email, one must be diligent in making the final output readable and interesting.</p>
<p>The first part of the email should catch the attention of the reader. This can be compared to the heading of a press release or any kind of article for that matter. The first lines should contain the basics of what one is trying to say to the reader.</p>
<p>Sufficient information about the product should be present in the email. The body of the letter should contain information which would answer the &#8220;four-W&#8217;s&#8221; about the product.The reader should then be enticed to act upon the request of the letter. The letter should bring about enthusiasm about the product and lead people to actually visit the seller&#8217;s website and click the &#8220;add to cart&#8221; icon.</p>
<p>-SPAM</p>
<p>This is the basic rule of the ethics of email marketing- never send spam! Spam is a term that is used to depict unsolicited email. Spam mails are not only irritating, they eat up much needed email space and restrict more important emails from landing into the inbox. If one would compare real junk mail from spam email, one would conclude that spam emails are more irritating and agitating than the normal ones. The physical commercial-type junk mail can easily be disposed and does not require too much of an effort from the receiver. Spam email eats up space which is being paid for by the email subscriber and is intended for legitimate emails. </p>
<p>These are just some of the basics of email marketing. No matter what one does in email marketing, he should never ever send spam. They do not only dent the reputation of the sender as a marketer, they also dent the reputation of the product which the marketer is promoting. Overall, email marketing can be a potential way of effectively marketing a product, but it is not without rules and ethics.</p>

<p>PEST Analysis can be defined as,</p>
<p>A framework which describes the arrayed inter-dependence of macro-environmental factors used in the environmental scanning component of strategic management.The PEST Model</p>
<p>PEST is the acronym for Political, Economic, Social and Technological factors. The environment in which an entity, lets say an organization operates is made up of external and internal environment. The internal environment is composed of the internal customers, which are the employees of the organization, the internal policies, mission and vision.</p>
<p>However, the external environment is a broad category which has been divided into micro environment and macro environment. The micro environment is made of factors such as the customers, suppliers, distributors, competitors etc whereas; factors making up the macro environment include political, economic, social and technological forces.Significance of PEST Analysis on Marketing and Management Environment</p>
<p>When an organization is in the process of formulating or revising its strategies, conducting a market research or devising a business plan, it has to carry out a complete environmental analysis so that it takes into account those factors of external environment which can have a positive or negative impact on it.</p>
<p>Recently, experts have argued that there are two other forces which make an important part of the macro environment namely Environmental and Legal factors. Therefore, the PEST analysis has now been renamed as PESTEL analysis.</p>

<p><strong>Strategic Marketing Ways To Protect Gross Profitability Over Sluggish Economic Periods</strong></p>

<p>The main goal of a typical organization confronted with challenging tactical decisions is to survive a financial slump. The organization should stay dedicated to its marketing plan, and find harmony in creating profitable revenue and lowering costs. The goal is always to uncover solutions to cut costs without eliminating essential revenue producing expenses. I hope to be able to provide you with some of these possibilities, as prospective methods to retaining gross profits for the duration of short-term periods of an economic downturn.</p>
<p><b>Creating Client Referrals</b>Being a marketing and advertising consultant, I am often amazed by the blank stares I get after I ask a client: &#8220;How many referrals did the company create last month?&#8221; If they know, it is rarely anything substantial, for the reason that very little effort is dedicated to the growth of this income source. Bringing in customer referrals, particularly targeted at repeat purchasers, is a skill of salesmanship, that appeared to disappear with the invention of computers and the Internet.</p>
<p>Every company has a cost per sale metric they are comfortable with. Your sales staff, your customer support department, your email efforts, and the home page of your website, are all touch points to market a customer referral program. Just take your cost per sale figure, divide it by three, and use that amount as a referral promotion. It is an low-cost method to obtain customers and new revenue. A well maintained referral plan can contribute 2% to 5% towards your gross profit.</p>
<p><b>Customer Retention Plans</b>I often receive the same blank stares once I ask clients: &#8220;How many former buyers did you reactivate last month?&#8221; Like bringing in referrals, this is a sales technique that has almost been forgotten. For every customer you lose, you need to find two new customers, in order to grow your business. Typically, customer retention is simple if you take some time to discover why they no longer use your service.</p>
<p>You can expect to hear isolated incidences related to shipping and delivery problems, a rude customer service encounter, and products, which did not satisfy buyer expectations. All you need to do is address the matter and fix the problem. Your client will be pleased their account seemed valuable enough for you to contact them. A properly supervised customer retention plan can add an additional 2% to 5% to your gross profits.</p>
<p><b>Strategic Retail Pricing</b>A lot of companies use a flat rate method for establishing their retail prices. In good times and in bad, I am a huge advocate of strategic retail pricing. I do not believe in decreasing selling prices, and profit margins, during sluggish periods to generate revenue. Strategic pricing is about advertising and marketing the value of your goods and services. A best selling product is worth more whenever it offers greater customer value. Before lowering prices on slower moving products, examine how the merchandise is being presented.</p>
<p>Does the product have a great sales story that underscores its worth? Is the art of professional quality and compelling? Your sales presentation may need a tune-up. Packaging multiple best selling products into exclusive offers is yet another easy way to elevate average order value. Like you, buyers like to get value for their dollar too. Strategic retail pricing may help boost your gross profits between 5% and 10%.</p>
<p><b>Negotiate with Vendors</b>Vendors feel the same economic pressure as retailers, but on a larger scale. If you, and your industry is selling much less, so is your supplier. This enables you to work out a better price because it suggests to the vendor you will be prepared to look around, but you want to give them the opportunity of first choice. Can you save 5% with a pre-pay discount? Could you find some price reduction on parts of the product line for promotion? Ask your vendor how they could help you to keep them as a business partner, and allow them create offers to you. Target at least a 1% increase in gross profits when you bargain with your distributors.</p>
<p><b>Employee Downsizing</b>In some instances, this might end up being the only option you have to decrease company expenses. I do wish to emphasize the word expense. <p><b>Improve Employee Efficiency and Production</b>An employee can spend up to 25% of a workday making use of business computers and the Internet for personal use. They can shop, chat, email, search for jobs, go to Facebook, and keep track of their fantasy sports leagues, just to name a few examples. I have personally seen email metrics proving 75% of buyers responding to the email, are purchasing from their office.</p>

<p>Of course, there are no vanilla or chocolate solutions to the tough issues that a business faces as it attempts to maintain profits during an financial slowdown. However, if you discover and evaluate areas of opportunity, create options, plan and implement steps, and assess the initiatives of your work, your organization is more likely to keep and increase gross profits.

How I got my list is not the point. it is not an opt-in list. Is there a company that has an email marketing service where I can use a list that is not opt in<br />
For instance I cannot send emails using my list through an email marketing company like constantcontact &#8211; because they require my list to be opt-in in order to use there service.<br />

<p>But it seems you already have a list of 38,000. So what are you trying to accomplish now? Those 38,000 people have already given you their emails, so they don&#8217;t need to opt-in anymore.</p>
<p>If you are looking for an email autoresponder service that doesn&#8217;t require people to opt-in&#8230;I&#8217;m not sure such a thing can possibly exist. Because how will you get their email address then?</p>

I know that when I first started online marketing I had the same troubles. I found myself surfing the web, forums and blogs for countless hours trying to reinvent the wheel and create my own marketing strategy. Do you find yourself doing the same thing?In order to be successful online you don&#8217;t need to have the most strategic marketing plan, you simply need to find a method that works and then replicate it. Many new internet marketers fall victim to the &#8220;what&#8217;s new syndrome.&#8221; They join numerous gurus&#8217; email lists for freebies, new product launches and get distracted from making a true effort at making money online. By researching the next big thing or new million dollar program they often waste their time that they could be using to be productive with using proven methods. If you are finding yourself doing just that in my opinion you need to stop. Find one method that you are knowledgeable about and implement the marketing action plan that the method outlines. Every home study course or make money online program outlines the needed steps to take to achieve any amount of success, so don&#8217;t be a buyer be a marketer. I wish someone wrote this article for me months ago and I could have saved myself a ton of time and frustration. I personally attended American Intercontinental Univ. and Capella University, and have taught for various online schools including the University of Phoenix. All are accredited and solid programs. Online courses tend to vary in price, so we could say they are more expensive, but that is relative. Of course they are more expensive than a community college, but less expensive than Harvard. The price range varies. </p>
<p>The key is to find a program that is fully accredited. Is it worth it? YES. My career has boomed since my MBA at nearly 5 years ago. I am close to finishing my PhD through distance education, and I am at the job that I want. I know I wouldn’t be here without the education. If you are looking at work in the U.S., then you need a school that is accredited and recognized by the Dept of Ed. I can give more info on that later. </p>
<p>You should market yourself and not the degree or university. There are many traditional universities offering degrees that can be earned through online methods. Distance Learning Alliance has a list of these traditional online schools. Look at that if you are truly concerned with the name of the school. Good luck on your search!</p>
